Area residents woke up Saturday morning to ICE! Amounts varied in different locations. Amounts were anywhere from one-tenth to one quarter of an inch. It made travel very treacherous. There were very few cars on the roads. Some churches were canceled on Sunday morning. After the ice melted on Sunday afternoon, another system came through, raising the temps back to 50 degrees. On Sunday night, that system produced strong thunderstorms and high winds. Now, this is some crazy weather for January. I wonder what February and March will bring? (photo by Lori Tucker)
