Ted was born in Allendale in the Orio area, where he also went to school and was married to Alberta Taylor from Mills Shoals.

After they were married, they moved to St. Francisville where they lived for the rest of Ted's life.Alberta and Ted were married 45 years. He worked at the Feed Store in Orio and then worked at Marathon Oil in Bridgeport for 32 years.

During this time, Ted was in the Army serving in World War II. He saw much action in France, Belgium and other European countries.

Ted's children were David, Dan, and then Curtis- one of the triplets that survived. Residents would see him pushing Curt around St. F. many times.

Ted loved his kids and was a homebody. He was a member of the Orio Presbyterian Church, supported his church, and sang in a quartet there, also.
